Simple question, but difficult to be answered if we talk about wolf population in the Beskydy mountains. On the other hand, the title of this article is also the name of the popular contest for the students of NC State University. The point of the contest is simple. Leader of the contest takes the picture of the mascot somewhere in the NC State University campus and then the students have to guess exact location within the campus where the photo was taken.

So why this question?

In celebration of National Bear Awareness Week 2012 we held our traditional enlightenment stand in the ZOO Olomouc. A lot of visitors had been lured by our exhibit of skulls and books, despite the cold (on Saturday also rainy) weather. Most of the time we presented our exhibits to kids. But the topic of our speech was also the population of large carnivores in the Czech Republic or the history of wolf domestication.

On 22nd April we organized enlightenment and competitive events as part of celebrations of the Earth Day 2012, in cooperation with the organization PREDMOSTENZIS. The event was held in Předmostí by Přerov (right in the Monument of mammoth hunters) and in Žernová hill.

We have added bunch of new photos of footprints and other marks of animals into the Wildlife Monitoring Program section.
