The National Wolf Week in the Olomouc Zoo took place from 3rd to 4th October 2020. The visitors donated total amount of 1752 CZK to support the breeding of Hudson Bay wolves in the zoo. Many thanks to all of them!

Despite the declared Covid-19 pandemic and the associated uncertainty about the possibility of holding our National Shark Week 2020, we have finally made it happen. The attendance at our stand, especially on Saturday June 6th, has far exceeded our expectations. The stream of both adult and young visitors of our stand was literally endless throughout the opening hours. Mainly because of the recent loosening of the government's measures against the spread of the above-mentioned disease, but main role played also the new part of our exposition from the West African coast, called Senegal Echoes. The success of the event is also underlined by the record-breaking amount of the donations, a total of 1902 CZK. This amount, rounded to 71.50GBP (including tip), was sent to the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme (MWSRP) charity.

Our observations of interesting fauna and flora species from all over the world can be found on the iNaturalist website in the Vlkodlak (werewolf) profile.

Despite of rainy Saturday we decided not to postpone our National Wolf Week in the Olomouc Zoo, so it took place in originally announced weekend, from 5th to 6th October 2019. As a result of this decision, the attendance at our booth on Saturday was quite low. Nevertheless, we've collected a total of 808 CZK for Hudson Bay wolves in the Olomouc Zoo, which is not so bad considering the weather. Many thanks to all donors on behalf of wolves and the Olomouc Zoo.

Today we have extended our trail camera fleet with another, already fourth unit. It is the SPROMISE S308.
