Overpass Bílinka D8 – view from the peak of Lovoš hill

The foreground of the picture shows the rocky slopes of the basalt peak Lovoš, which hosts rare species of steppe flora. Behind the D8 highway (in the center of the picture) runs in parallel former E55 / 8 international motorway. Upon opening the motorway, all road traffic moved from it to the D8 highway. In the background we can see individual peaks of the Central Bohemian Highlands - Ovčín, Košťál, Oblík, Boreč, Hrádek, Solanská hora.

The overpass Dolní Újezd ​​was the first overpass for wildlife built by the highways and roads in the Czech Republic. It was opened on the 22nd July 1999. It is located at kilometer 293.5 of the expressway R35. The length of the transition for the game is 100 meters.

Fish pass (other commonly used names for it are also fish ladder, fishway or fish steps) is a special construction which allows natural migration of aquatic animals in a riverbed which was made unpassable by other structures like a weir or hydro-electric power plant.
